One day tour to The Golden Triangle and The Golden route of opium past in Chiangrai

Itinerary : 7.00 am.-9.00pm

7.00 am. : Meet your guide license at your hotel in Chiangmai city. Drive to Chiangrai along the road climbing up the green beautiful mountain about 1 hour and have a quick stop at Hot Spring Mae Kha Jan, here you walk around to breathe fresh air and rest your feet in the warm natural mineral water for 10 minutes. Continue to to Wat Rong Khun

10.00am :  Arrive to White Temple or What Rong Khun. Have wonderful time to admire Modern Thai Art created by Professor Chalermchai Kositpipat, one of the great artists of Thailand. With amazing inspiration that he wants to show his gratitude to his beloved country, he use white color with Kanok design to show the purity of Buddhism teaching people to purify their life as this color. Leave for Ban Dam at 10.45am.

11.30am :  Arrive to Bamdam  Ban Dam Museam. In this place, you will see different kind of art contrasting Wat Rong Khun. This great artist, Dr.Thawa Duahanee,uses Black Color to create his very interesting works presenting the real natures hidden in all life beings. The truth of life and oriental philosophy are presented in every piece of his work. He built 36 black house with teak wood decorated with very fine carvings with Lanna Style (the most ancient design of the north). In these houses, you can see his great paintings, and other traditional equipment for working in the rice fields  that shows the life styles of local people.   

12.30 am : Drive to Golden Triangle, the most famous place for its history and beautiful geography that all people that come to Chiangrai should not miss. This place was used as the biggest trading opium market when opium was not considered as narcotic. According the three boundaries of three countries meet, it was very convenient for all kinds of trading a long Mae Khong River. Take nice pictures of panoramic views of three boundaries of Myanmar, Thailand and Laos on the hill nearby before going to visit The House of Opium Museum in order to learn more about the history of this place. Have lunch at local restaurant.

14.00pm :  After your lunch at Golden Triangle, continue to visit Blue temple , its impressive murals inside where the same tones always predominate we will be able to walk in the enclosure and learn about its history. The Blue temple is immediately recognizable for its brilliant rich sapphire hue. The temple walls, celling, and surronding statues are all covered in this beautiful hue, an unusual decorative choice in a country  where most temples are made of gold.

16.30pm : Taking some nice pictures of the atmosphere of the border market of Thailand and Myanmar and the Most Northern point of Thailand. End one day trip and drive back to Chiangmai safe.
