Chiangrai 2 Days 1 Night

 

Day 1 : Guide license  will meet you at Chiangrai Airport at 8.30am. Drive to Golden Triangle, the most famous place for its history and beautiful geography that all people that come to Chiangrai should not miss. This place was used as the biggest trading opium market when opium was not considered as narcotic. According the three boundaries of three countries meet, it was very convenient for all kinds of trading a long Mae Khong River. Take nice pictures of panoramic views of three boundaries of Myanmar, Thailand and Laos on the hill nearby before going to visit House of Opium Museum to learn more about the history of this place. Then,

 Have lunch at local restaurant.

 14.00pm :  After your lunch at The Golden Triangle, continue to visit Mae Sai, the northern most district of Chiangrai and Thailand where people from Myanmar and Thailand can do trading freely. The borders where two countries are open every day from 6.00am.-6.00pm. Over here you can enjoy shopping the handicrafts from Myanmar and Laos

15.30: Arrive to Blue temple  or Rong Suea Ten temple : mean : The dancing tiger ,at the place of the current temple there was a ruin of an abandoned temple, which was at least 80 years old. In 1996 the villagers decided to construct a Buddhist place of worship on this particular location . construction of the temple started in October 2005. Blue happens to be my favorite color. It makes the temple aesthetically  very pleasing to the eye. Inside the Viharn, the interior of the Wihan is exquisite. Two spectacular dragon statues guard the entrance. The design of these dragons has been inspired by the work national artist Tawan Duchanee . he is the creator of the famous Black house .  The Buddha image in the vihan is more than six meters tall dates back to 2008 . It’s called Buddha Rajamongkol Bodhi Trilkanat.

17.00pm : Transfer to hotel in Chiangrai, stay overnight. 

 

Day2 : You will be picked up at 8.30 am. to take the boat trip at Mae Kok River to visit Karen village. Along Mae Kok River you can view the way of life of local people on the river banks and many kinds of plantations in the mountains. Mae Kok River is the river that starts  from Myanmar  and flows through Chiangrai city then it ends at Mae Khong River at Chiang Sean District. It is about 150 kilometers long.

 

9.30am : Arrive to Karen Hill Tribe Village. People who live in this village migrated from Myanmar over a hundred years ago. They used to sell teak wood to Thai people and had elephants to work for them. Now, cutting down the trees is illegal. Some people still have elephants and use them to take tourists visit around the village. You can take a chance to enjoy riding on the elephant for 30 minutes around Karen village.  

11.00am : Visit White Temple or Wat Rong Khun. Have a wonderful time to admire Modern Thai Art created by Professor Chalermchai Kositpipat, one of the great artists of Thailand. With amazing inspiration that he wants to show his gratitude to his beloved country, he uses white color with Kanok design to show the purity of Buddhism teaching people to purify their life as this color.

12.00am : Depart from Wat Rong Khun to go to Chiangmai Province or to clients destination
