Chiangrai 2 Days 1 Night

 Day 01   Guide license  will meet you at Chiangrai Airport at 8.00 am.

 Doi Tung Mountain which is 1389 m high close to Thailand-Myanmar border.It is the place where The late Princess Mother of King Bhumibol  initiated her royal project to end opium cultivation since 1968. Doi Tung has become one of the best known in Chiangrai. You can be attracted by the lush green forest and the spectacular colorful array of flowers in the gardens. The beautiful views , peaceful atmosphere and fresh air can be touched in this place. Visit to Royal Villa, the former residence of the Princess Mother before leaving for the hill tribes villages

Drive to Golden Triangle, the most famous place for its history and beautiful geography that all people that come to Chiangrai should not miss. This place was used as the biggest trading opium market when opium was not considered as narcotic. According the three boundaries of three countries meet, it was very convenient for all kinds of trading a long Mae Khong River. Take nice pictures of panoramic views of three boundaries of Myanmar, Thailand and Laos on the hill nearby before going to visit House of Opium Museum to learn more about the history of this place.

Day 02 08.00  leave hotel visit to Wat Huay Pla Kang , is mix of The Lanna and Chinese styles. also known as “ Big Buddha of Chiangrai “ is know for its enormous white statue of Guanyin , is the Chinese Goddess of Mercy.  Once inside the Guanyin statue , visitors can take a lift 25 floors up to the top. On top of another mound stands a nine tiered Chinese style Pagoda. The stairs leading to the pagoda is lines with ferocious looking Chinese dragons. At the bottom of the stairs stands a large bowl where people burn incense sticks. On each of its nine floors are statues of the Buddha , Guanyin and monks, carved out of wood.

Continue to Blue temple  “ The temple of the Dancing Tiger “ is a Buddhist temple that stands out from the others because of its Sapphire blue color. Inside the Viharn, the interior of the Wihan is exquisite. Two spectacular dragon statues guard the entrance. The design of these dragons has been inspired by the work national artist Tawan Duchanee . He is the creator of the famous Black house .  The Buddha image in the vihan is more than six meters tall dates back to 2008 . It’s called Buddha Rajamongkol Bodhi Trilkanat. The located in Rong Suea Ten district of Rimkok a few kilometers outside Chiangrai city.

Wat Rong Khun. Have wonderful time to admire Modern Thai Art created by Professor Chalermchai Kositpipat, one of the great artists of Thailand. With amazing inspiration that he wants to show his gratitude to his beloved country, he use white color with Kanok design to show the purity of Buddhism teaching people to purify their life as this color.
