Elephant Conservation center and impressive temple in Lampang

08.00 Leave from hotel with you guide license visit to Lampang province is the third largest town in northern Thailand. Traditional names for Lampang include Wiang lakon and Khelang Nakhon. It offers much of the historic interest of Lanna as well as Chiangmai , but without the commercialization.  We leave the hotel and on the way to visit the Thai elephant  conservation center, see a demonstration of elephant training .

continue to Wat Phra That Lampang Luang a paradigm of temple building of Lanna. The temple itself is prominently sited on a hillock surrounded by walls. The entrance arches, called Pratu Khong , is adorned with fine plaster designs. The wall-less main Viharn houses a bronze Buddha statue called the Phra Chao Lan Thong.

Lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch visit to Wat Phra that Doi Phra Chan , is located in Mae Tha district in Lampang Province. On the top of Doi Phra Chan mountain can see beautiful views of city Mae Tha . this temple is the place where Big Buddha image statues is 14 meters in side made of copper prominently enshrined on a hill seeing the Buddha image in a blue-green  color is caused by copper rust or the chemicals reaction of copper with the weather.  The construction of this Lampang’s Dai butsu started in 2019. It resembles the Daibutsu Buddha od Kotoku temple in Kamakura city of Japan.

Then drive back to Chiangmai on the way if have time visit to the local market where you can find the animals and plants from the wild.
