Impressive tour with the natural of Mae Hong Son 4 days 3 nights

 Mae Hong Son province has another name as “ The city of three mists “ because it is surrounded by high mountains , forests, flowers , conjures fantastic images of rugged , mist enshrouded mountains where isolated tribal villages await exploration . from the fascination Culture of the indigenous tribal communities to the spectacular natural beauty of the countryside Mae Hong Son is certainly a dream to the destination for many visitors.

Day 01  Hot Spring - The Memorial bridge - Kong Lan – Santichol village -Wat Huay Mae Yen ( L)

Leave from hotel in Chiangmai to Pai , Visit to Sai Ngam Hot Spring and bath in its hot and crystalline waters. In Sai Ngam natural hot springs , the water is nice, warm and clean . the surrounding area is also nice. A lovely place with red dragonflies buzzing above you. The springs have an average temperature of 80 C. the springs offer a series of bathtubs for visitors to bathe in, and it is also possible to bathe in the stream that runs through the site. The water from these springs is said to have strong therapeutic value. After that on the way to take good photos of The Memorial Bridge , this bridge was built during world II and has been immaculately maintained. Japanese soldiers forced villagers to build it in aid of their Death Railway as this bridge would help to connect Pai and Chiang Mai.

Visit The Grand Canyon , a unique natural site . The Pai Grand Canyon also know as Kong Lan , is a natural rocky landscape located 8 kilometers from Pai Township in northern Thailand. Narrow cared ledges and slabs that have survived the erosive actions of the elements have 30-meter deep cliffs and a series of narrow walkways cut inti the crests of gigantic rock walls that meander down into the heavily forested valley.

visit to Santichon Chinese People , this village offers the way of life and Chinese mud house . We will be able to taste green tea and be surrounded by the mountains of Pai. Santichon village or Yunnan Chinese Cultural center was settled by Chinese who fled Meo Tse Tung’s Chinese revolution . after all these years, the descendants who still live here and adhere to the traditional ways have managed to benefit from Pap’s economic recovery.

In the evening around 18.00 pm can you go to Wat Huay Mae Yen or White Buddha of Pai  , view see view and Sun set is here. The White Buddha is situated on the top of a hill in the Pai country side , offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape , the perfect place to go and take a look at the whole city . it can be a challenge to climb the 300 stops up in the Sun, but the view is definitely worth it.

Day 02  Tham Lod cave  -Su Tong Pe Bridge – City temples -Boat to Long neck women ( L )

Breakfast at hotel ,  visit to the Lod cave ( Tham Lod ) , this cave is one of Thailand’s most impressive and easily accessible caves , partly for its size , party for its attractive limestone stalactite formations and party for an unusual coffin cave hidden within the main cave. Tham Lod cave is a natural limestone cave system, its main feature is the freshwater steam which runs through the middle of the cave for about 200-300 meters. inside it ‘s walls are covered with massive formations and columns over 20 meters high. The cave is also home to large numbers of bats and swifts.

Continue to Su Tong Pae bridge, The name of the Su Tong Pae bridge translates to “Successful prayer “in the Tai Yai language The land for this bridge was donated by the local community and the villagers constructed the bridge out of bamboo.  Good to know the local people belive, if you walk along the bridge you may wish . and your wish will come true. After that drive to Mae Hong Son take Lunch at local restaurant.

visit to Wat Phra That Doi Kong Moo,  this temple reflects the strong influence of the Burma . The main feature is the large pagoda in the middle of temple compound that is belied enshrines the bones of Mokkhalana Monk , the main follower of the load Buddha. The highlights of this attraction are the two lavishly decorated pagodas . Also this hilltop temple affords an exceptional aerial view of the city and surrounding mountains and valley.  Continue to Wat Chong Kham and Chong Klang where a replica of the Phra Phuttha Sihing is installed on an altar. There are several interesting items such as wooden figurines of human and animals depicted in the Phra Vejsandal Jakata. created by Burmese craftsmen and brought over in 1857, painting on glass about the Jakata and on Prince Siddhartha , as well as on the ways of life of the time. The captions are in Burmese. There are also notations that the painting were by Thai Yai artisans from Mandalay.

After that drive to Ban Huay Dua pier take a boat trip a long the Pai River that are full of pleasant nature , you can still drop in the greet the Long Neck Karen tribe at Num Pieng Din , which is a Myanmar -Thai border village .Karen hill-tribe village , with their famous Padong Long-Neck women , these women are worldwide known , wearing numerous brass rings around their elongated neck . It is a practice applied only to women born during the full moon.

Day 03  Thai-Japanese friendship Memorial – Keaw Komol Cave – Temples in Mae Sariang ( L)

Breakfast at hotel . Leave from hotel to Khun Yuam district, the small town services the local villages situated in the Yuam river valley. Approximately half way between Muang Mae Hong Son and Mae Sa riang. It is quite bustling in the morning as lots of Hmong ,Karen  and Lawa people from the surrounding hills come into town to sell or but goods. You can visit Thai – Japan Friendship memorial hall , this a small museum documents the history of Thai – Japanese friendship arising from the Japanese occupation of the area during World War II.   Continue to the most beautiful cave in the Thailand with crystal calcite in the cavern. “ Kaew Komol Cave “ is becoming increasingly popular. Inside the cave is order to preserve the nature , it is designed of visitors to see the beautiful of the walls in a small space. The cave consists of a series of five chambers on a steep gradient, the final chamber being more than 40 m. below the surface the most interesting halls are the fourth and the fifth ones, where pure Calcite crystals are shaped like coral and most crystals are in perfect condition.

Drive to Mae Sariang district, is perfect for those mostly natural places and who love temples .  You can visit to Wat Chom Cheang , this temple a Lanna temple with a mixture of architectural styles.  The visitors can overlook the scenery of Mae Sariang district, especially watching the view of sunset. The temple houses Phrathat Chom Chaeng , a pagoda enshrining holy relics of Lord Buddha’s hair. It was built by four hermits who are brothers during approximately 1000 B.E. to be the place where people of Yaum city come and pay respect and to protect the city from harm.

Wat Si Bun Ruang , the temple was built in 2807, originally named “ Wat Mak Kaeng “ but later changed into Wat Si Bunrueang in 1947 . is is a beautiful temple. The pavilion  and  the Wihan have adorable perforated designs with a blended artistic style of Greek and Mon , this temple is an ancient temple Phra Khru Anusorn Panyakhun as the present abbot. The temples holds the Novice Ordination Ceremony                ( Poi Sang Long ) for the tribe youth to study Buddhism and basic subjects according to the national educational standard with help of the faithful supporters, Moreover, in the temple area.

Day 04 Ob Laung National park – Chiangmai city

Breakfast at hotel. leave from hotel to Chiang Mai on the way visit Ob Luang National Park is an amazing natural attraction comprising both splendid natural chams as well as mysterious scenery. A visit to Ob Luang is a national  park in Chiangmai offers a chance to discover the natural beauty of amazing landscape shaped by curvy river and limestone mountain ranges. The river stream runs to through the canyon is the most remembered scence of Ob Luang of which at the middle of the man made bridge connecting both banks is the nest place to get the most out it.

Drive approximately 2 hours to Chiangmai city . Transfer to your hotel or Chiangmai airport.
